Kara's 18th Birthday

Kara came home from Logan and we took her to Olive Garden (where things got silly as usual...poor Becca was so embarrassed...) and to DSW shoes where somehow Kara managed to find nothing...but it was a funny night!



-Kimberly gave here some camping stuff because on her facebook page we found that she wrote "I love hiking and camping and fishing...hee hee...she was NOT amuzed :)

Taylor got BRACES!

Noelle brought Taylor ice cream when she got her BRACES! For years she has begged for braces, but a week before she got them, she decided she no longer wanted them!

pine wood derby

Ahhh scouts.....zacky made a star wars car for the derby...it was not very aerodynamic and he was not happy with me (I thought it was a GREAT idea). He did win most creative :)
He also got his bear award and I had a good night because I found out I got to work with the wolves now instead of the webelos (hallejulah!)

Easter 2008

We had egg painting at our house...

a water gun fight broke out in the house between kara and bryan...
zacky and derek joined in too!
the Easter Bunny brought lots of candy...
and a light saber....
and a build-a-bear outfit for summer:)

Yes, Taylor made the county 'fruit' stand herself (check that name spelling!!) :)

Ryan's 4th birthday party

We celebrated Ryan's birthday with games in Kelly's backyard....as usual is starts out as fun for the kids, then breaks into serious competition and cheating. The big boys then began to jump anything they could find including kelly's huge trash can! Amazingly, no one was seriously injured :) They're so weird.

Taylor's STATE SWIM MEET short course

Taylor made state in 4 events and 2 relays....they handed out beanies :) Once again, Taylor had missed a lot of swimming (a month and a half) due to a bladder infection followed by a really bad kidney infection (that landed her in the hospital). Poor thing was pretty weak and just seems to have the worst luck in timing sickness!
warming up (the one in front)..we spent 3 solid days (up and back twice a day!) at the byu pool....this was at 6:00 am...you can imagine my happy smile on the inside :)
grandma came to the meet and brought us a large treat!

This was after the last event in the final, 50 free...Taylor beat Emily (first time ever) with a 33.01 in the morning prelims(em got a 33.13). Taylor was SO excited, and Emily was stunned! So the heat was on in the finals...It was an exciting race...Taylor was ahead after the turn, but Em came back at the end. Taylor-32.23 and Emily 32.09. Couldn't have been any closer. Taylor came in with the 8th best 50 free time in the State! It was cute, they hugged after the race...I was so proud of her for being a good sport!
others: 50 Breat (prelims) 44.59 #12 in state; (finals) 46.25 #15...she was sad about adding time in the finals, oh well. 100 Free 1:15.61 for #15 in state; 100 breast 1:41 for#15th.

Zacky's Baptism

Zacky got baptized with Seth and Alec...good ol' Seth!
