Cedar Hills Fireworks

Because of the crazy wind on the 24th, Cedar Hills didn't set their fireworks off until the 28th...we went up to the golf course to watch.

24th of JULY 2008

For Pioneer Day, Devon brought some bomb rockets over. The kids ran and grabbed baseball mits to catch the cans as they came down! (only hit Kelly's car once :)



We watched fireworks from the pool...


We went to the Cedar Hills night Owls game.....Zacky still tries to do the worm in public any chance he gets!
The kids sat in the outfield....Zacky waited and waited for a homerun ball....never came....
They eventually were told to get down!
After the game Bryan beat the heck out of Kara with his flip flop...Kara does always ask for it! Crazy girl!
We watched fireworks at the stadium after the game...


And had running races...



After all the craziness with the tickets, we all ended up in the outfield anyway!

daddy made up a domino throwing, knock each other's 'building' down, war game with the kids...they love it and rarely get hurt:)

SPRING 2008

Easter 2008. We had a big Easter egg hunt in our backyard.

CEDAR HILLS FUNRUN AND 5K

Here's all the fun from the boys 5 K and the kids mile run...
Bryan wasn't happy with this time...nerd!

Zacky...he actually ran it this year and finished in 8 1/2 minutes! Usually he's not so in to running! (he'll remind you that this was with the inflamed growth plates in his feet! Actually legit this time :) When I finally did take him in because he had been hobbling around like 50 cent for a while, the doctor said he actually did have a painful condition. Zacky got wide-eyed and looked straight at me and said "I told you! You thought I was faking!" I did :)
Taylor made it in 7 min 40 seconds and that was with a stop in the bushes to throw up! She came in crying, but I can't believe she finished after she puked! She was just mad because Derek came in a litte ahead of her (he's like his dad)
Ryan did great! Even with his arm style!
The boys took a bunch of bananas at the end???

Long Boards

the kids made their own long boards with Jeff....

Ice skating

The kids love ice skating (even the boys...Zacky's been telling everyone that he's going to be in hockey in the winter...does he know his mom??? the same one that won't let him play tackle football!!) Taylor and Noelle are still taking lessons and LOVE it! They are in level 5 now and are doing great...spins, back cross overs...we're impressed!

The kids found a bunny!

The kids found a bunny in the yard (turns out it was a runaway bunny from a neighbor) the begging that went on to keep it was ridiculous...but luckily the bunny found his home under another neighbors porch. So after LOTS of tears, the kids agreed we could visit and feed him anytime while he lives free under the porch :) First he was Syrup, but now he's hip hop. The kids set up a fence in the yard when they want to play with him and we've even taken him over to Noelle and Derek's house! Lucky that Jeff likes bunnies :)


All of our animals somehow end up in Taylor's stroller! :)

Camp in the backyard

The Daddys had a camp out with the kids in our backyard...don't they look like they're working hard :)

4th of July

we spent 4th of july at our house...we watched all the fireworks of all the different cities throughout the valley from our deck. The kids played ninja turtles by the pool...later the big boys played rock band (look at Austy just staring at Bryan-a totally justified look:)

after a day of swimming, we headed up to the top park and had an egg toss...which turned into egg fighting! Bryan and Kara were out of hand...
She chased after a couple of boys on our walk home...they were trying to play cool at first and then ran off, terrified! Pretty funny!

I made fruit pizza. yum.

rachel fell in a hole at the park while logan slid in all the mud :)
even Jared was after poor kara...although, she does ask for it a bit :) She got trashed!



zacky played pool baseball!

taylor, the injury magnet, got hit in the nose with an egg...at first I told her to shake it off and then I saw blood POURING out of her nose!
yes, that's blood on my leg...what an egg fight!


austy now jumps off the diving board...he's always yelling "ta-or" so that she'll come catch him :)

kara got kicked by a horse (her summer horse training has really taken a toll on her body!
zacky was being so cute with Austy in the spa...he's really good with him :)
