SKATE PARK

The kids LOVE to go to the skate park. They'd go everyday if they could. It's a little scary and the kids aren't allowed to talk to anyone there :) I'm sure the teenagers love the moms (Kelly and me) setting up camp and hanging out for the evening!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2008

First day of 5th grade for Taylor and 3rd for Zachary....Taylor was sad because she got the 'mean' teacher, but has since realized she actual likes Mrs. Empey! She's excited because she got to be the class president the first week and gets to have her own lap top during class! Zacky is actually not complaining about going to school this year because he gets to sit by his girlfriend, Lauren (he likes Mrs. King because he got to pick his seat at back to school night). He now takes showers and brushes his teeth without being nagged because he said he "has to work really hard this year to impress Lauren!" He has mentioned that he has a hard time concentrating with her so close!

canyon fun

we had a little fire in the canyon...kara once again got her butt kicked, the boys pee-d in the bushes (always!), we roasted marshmellows, the kids hiked up their favorite rock hill (they always try to go too high :) and in one of the last pictures, Nancy pulled Noelle's chair out from under her! No bears; successful camping :)

HIP HOP

Yes, that's a real bunny....Taylor now puts build-a-bear outfits on 'her' bunny. Taylor is still upset that we don't keep her in a cage in our yard, but she seems to be doing just fine under the neighbors porch! We're on to desperately wanting a dog now anyway!! :) (the turtle is no longer the begging and pleading animal of choice)

melisa's surprise party

we (cyd, nicole, belinda +40 others) had a surprise b-day party for Melisa...she was actually surprised...I had to lie my butt off to get her over here...something about Taylor being hurt (believeable) and we needed Tommy because Bryan was out of town:) The kids even got her in the pool :)

SUMMER CAMP IN SEATTLE 2008

Grandma Drexie and Pop-Pop treated us to an unforgettable summer camp! Thank you!!!!



We visited the Public Market with grandma and got texas size doughnuts!

We did a little shopping at Nike and then the kids found the sunglasses :) Too cool!
All Zacky could talk about was getting his skater shoes for school, so on our way back we told him we could go to sneaker world and for sure they'd have some....can you tell that they did NOT. :)
Bryan did some wakeboarding until he had a fall where he "thought he lost his teeth!"

Taylor LOVES the jet ski! She prefers if daddy goes with her (or Kara) so that she can go FAST!
Taylor had a rough wakeboard night (it was cold), but did finally make it up!

Zacky organized several baseball games for us.

ZACKY'S TWIN

Kelly found Zacky's twin (the eyes, eyebrows, facial expressions) while we watched the Olympics. Zacky thought it was funny :)

TAYLOR's STATE SWIM MEET LC's 2008

This was the Long Course (50 meter pool) JO's. We spent 3 solid days in Kearns...Taylor qualified in:
200 free 3:20.98, 50 breast 51.35(9th overall in State), 100 free 1:29.06 (17th overall), 100 breast 1:51.42 (14th overall), 50 back 47.34 (11th overall), and 50 free 37.63 (14th overall). She did a great job and has worked like crazy this summer trying to get back and ready after she broke her wrist in May. She'll tell you she didn't do very well, but we think different :) She did decide to take a little break for the soccer season (yea!!! no early morning practices for a couple of months!!) She's a crazy little competitor!
