Taylor's Primary Program duet

no picture....but today was the Primary Program and Taylor played a duet with Madison Flinders. She was SO nervous but did a beautiful job! Since I was up there already at the piano position :) I could just kneel next to her and count for them! Taylor is not a big fan of the piano so I was very proud of her for working so hard and doing so well! Zacky's class sang the baptism song and he did great. His voice is not angelic, but he has no hesitations belting it out! so cute!

Oreo part 2 is gone :(

Taylor had a hard day...Oreo part 2 is now gone. Sadly I cried on my way to the shelter. Strange considering I wanted to kill the cat after all the pee! We had a special O.G. night and then a movie and cookies. I let her stay home on Friday and we played tennis and went to HSM3 (yeah for me!) She misses her sleeping on her pillow all night and she said she "told her everything" :( poor thing. Time to replace the carpet because I'm sure there will be a new animal soon. Taylor and her animals :)

Fall Break 2008

We decided to stay home for fall break this year (no National Park this weekend...gas it too crazy for as many cars as we need!) We had fabulous weather and packed our days full of outdoor adventures nearby! We all had lots of fun!
zacky helped me make homemade noodle soup while Taylor was at ice skating..it was truly the best we've ever had and more importantly, we had a fun time together :(
we went to the skate park and of course the boys spent many hours skating at Kelly's and on the ramp at home. They love it!
We went riding at Grandma's. The girls did great and had lots of fun! (Taylor's first time in an english saddle!)

I jumped on Beethoven too.
Beethoven is out and Seven is in with Taylor.
We had family tennis at Lone Peak. Taylor did great! We can actually play now :) She loves it!
...the boys skateboarded!
The boys are dying to learn guitar...they even wrote a song together and performed it for us :) We ordered a guitar dvd and will start our lessons soon :) they just sit in awe while watching kimmy and kara play!
Bosten and Kambridge came over to play night games with Taylor and Noelle and some neighborhood friends.
Kimmy still can't move the left side of her forehead...we find it amusing :)
we took all the kids on a hike in Alpine. It was a tough hike, but beautiful!

our yearly Taylor and Noelle fall shot :)
The girls helped grandma gayle up the hill...it was STEEP!
the boys led the way...

We went to support Tom Grieve at his graduation and Taylor helped out with Ethan Tetro. He LOVES her. He slept on her lap the entire time at Los Hermanos! She's SO excited to start babysitting when she turns 11.
Los...we finally all made it after some serious traffic out of Thanksgiving Point (bryan got back from Toronto just in time :)
on Saturday we went to Provo Canyon for a bike ride. It was a perfect day and we had a great time biking to Bridal Veil Falls. We loaded all the bikes in Grandmas truck!

bridal veil
Zacky had a soccer game Saturday evening in Murray. They lost, but had fun playing on the ghetto playground afterwards :)
We went up AF canyon for foil dinners and smores. We cooked them ahead, but still needed some extra fire time...especially for Bryan's gi-normous dinner!

have you ever seen a foil dinner that large!?

somehow this always happens...the boys were trying to get kara in the river!

on Monday, we went back up the Alpine trail, because we didn't have time to make it to the waterfall on Friday. This time Jeff carved spears for the kids to protect us from bears :)
Zacky hit rocks together to deter the bears...the kids stayed closer this hike after Jeff's bear talk!
It was a tough hike! Almost 4 hours round trip! Luckily we had oreos! (poor Brittany called Taylor that morning, but had no idea what she was getting in to!)
We FINALLY made it. Beautiful view of the valley! we had our sandwiches and jumping pictures :)
We stopped at the HUGE boulder on the way down...Kara was actually scared :) and Taylor almost didn't make it back down the rock!
