We ate at a tiny cafe in the middle of nowhere while we waited for the Chitzen Itza light show (which never happened becuase there was a HUGE rainstorm!) It was actually very yummy.
We visited Xcaret...we swam through a freezing underground river, snorkeled, watched a few shows and wondered why this place was such a popular attraction??
Thanks to the help of lots of grandmas and aunts, Bryan and I were able to take a 10 day Cancun trip!
Taylor is NOT happy when Mommy leaves...this trip was sad too because we could only email back home...she had fun with the grandmas, though, and made us this sign when we got back :)
Mexico was an interesting experience...a little scary sometimes....that is a police truck in front of us with cops riding in the back holding large guns!
We frequented Chocolate City...yummy chocolate pizzas!
We ferried over to Isla Mujeres and rented a golf cart to tour around the tiny island...Bryan loved the cart!
We visited a local mexican restaurant near the end of the trip...I'm pretty sure this where I got sick...NOT a fun plane ride home!
On our last day we woke up and saw battleships patroling the front of our the Hilton...there was some world convention...we were happy to be leaving!
the view from our room...it was beautiful!
the market place in Chitzen Itza....this whole city was amazing...best part of the trip...minus the death rain storm, 4 1/2 hour drive back in our tiny rental.
This is where they played ball games...really cool
Bryan got some R&R
Bryan loved all of these little stores (big hug, little kiss, big kiss, little hug????)Chitzen Itza temple...unbelievable

A spectacular beach on Isla Mujeres...we didn't get much time to enjoy it, but it was beautiful!

We rode horses on the beach and in the water...it was so fun!
