Sick Week...and 'Sick' Half-Pipe!

We've had a rough week...the kids missed a FULL week of school...yucky tummies, head colds, dizziness...it was a LONG week....Luckily Grandma Drexie sent some chocolate syrup...Zacky said that's what really made him feel better! He knows how to milk it!

Then Taylor finally forced me to take Oreo to the vet because she keeps limping around...but of course on the day of the appointment, she didn't limp so we get to go back! But I did come home with a $770 estimate! Love this cat!
Kimmy had a biking accident...dog ran out in front of her while she followed Devin on a run. She can't raise her left eyebrow now :( She has had quite a year of facial accidents! At least this time she went to a doctor instead of gluing it back together like her chin!
The kids did recuperate in time for Saturday soccer! Zacky's team lost their first game. But Kelly brought her camera, so we got lots of fun pictures!
Zacky is a great goalie! He actually saved this one!

He did great in this game and made a couple of great goals and passes!

just liked this picture because of how the ball turned out in it (he's kicking one of his amazing corner kicks)
So after Kimmy and Kara took the big kids to the Dew Tour, Zacky hasn't put down his skateboard. On one of his sick days we searched for half-pipes. After some serious research and MAJOR begging and promises from Zacky (including that he had to pay the $125 half of it) we drove a 4 hour round trip to Eden to pick up these ramps. Don't know how we loaded them, or how we're going to get them in the basement, but you can't wipe the smile off of Zacky's face!

Taylor did great at her soccer game...and made some beautiful goals (she really can shoot so consistently high and cornered!)...her team won :)
Bryan at soccer practice...he's a great coach!
I think Bryan like the ramps as much as Zacky! He started off in shorts, and after several rough falls, walked out like this....those are towels shoved in his pants! He did do it, though! Of course now he wants his own skateboard!
Zacky took some tough falls (and quickly learned that mommy was right about the knee, elbow and wrist guards! But he's got it now!
Heaven IS a half-pipe!

Soccer Saturday :)

Taylor had her second fall soccer game. They won 7-1. Taylor scored 4 goals and 1 assist. In one of the pictures she's taking a free kick that she made (she's been working hard with daddy on her kicking and is very consistent). She is the team's corner kicker and free kicker and is awesome at it! She still loves soccer best and is actually taking a couple months off of swimming (yay for not waking up at 6:00 am!) Zacky also had his first soccer game of the season in Sandy. (Taylor got to be the line judge!) He got sick the day before and was not feeling good at all, but played and did great! They played one of the best teams in the x league A division and beat them 6-2. (Bryan was shocked, he was actually really nervous before the game:) Zacky played goalie (his favorite spot) half and half with Seth and made 1 goal and several assists. He's the best dribbler and passer and plays really smart. He's so fun to watch! They were missing Alec too because he had a seizure that afternoon and ended up at Primary Childrens in icu. The boys were sad and did a cheer for him at the end of the game...it was really sweet. Most of the boys on the team spent a few hours at the hospital with him after the game.

ping pong

the kids LOVE ping pong right now! We play almost every night before bed. They have both gotten so seriously good! Mommy is officially the worst player in the house now :( It is also a great time to work on good sportsmanship :) We can't seem to get through a single point without an argument....between all of the official scorekeepers and the ridiculous competitiveness of each child, it gets a little crazy...we're working on it :)

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Justin, Nancy and girls came up for Kourtney's wedding and stayed the weekend with us. We played rock band (Jeff's request for his birthday :).....

Zacky is great on the drums and Bryan LOVES to sing/ scream! Kelly's poor neighbors!......

We took family pictures since we had EVERYONE!.......

The kids actually did great this time...we realized it was because it's one of the first years with no babies..........

grandma gayle brought an old appliance over for the boys to take apart in their 'shop' :)

Zacky and Kara had fun on the bike ramp until both crashed :)

The kids had their own 'Olympic' swimming relays...they got a little competitive, big surprise!

the boys love to dress alike for all of their activities! They're very creative!

We had Jeff's turkey birthday dinner too...yummy!

Justin and Bryan tried rip sticking....

and we all played family speed...Taylor loves beating all the boys at recess in speed and she pretty much did the same to most of us!
