FLORIDA TRIP

For Christmas, Grandma and Pop Pop got us tickets to come visit them in Naples. Zacky played with his Valentine's Day lego car while waiting at the airport :) And Taylor's teacher was NOT happy about her missing a week!
We had a layover in Houston and when I saw Pappasitos there, I almost cried! It was the best Valentine's Day ever! Not the same, but so fun :)
The kids loved playing at the beach...

Lunch at the condo grill...
Zacky taught Pop Pop how to play demolition dominoes!
Zacky got Pop Pop a puzzle for his birthday....his interest level subsided very quickly :)
Mop Mop got a quilt for Taylor put together. It said quick! Not so much! But we finished that dang blanket!
Our bodies actually hurt afterwards :)
Bryan had to meet with someone in Orlando, so we got to have a little one night get away. We drove Pop Pop's convertible and had a blast in Clearwater. Short trip but lots of fun :)

a cool bridge we drove home over.
Mop Mop found a skate park for the kids :)

We went and visited the conservancy and learned about shells...
and watched grandma's sheer terror when they opened the snake tank! :)

could there be a more perfect picture :)
waiting for the boat to tour around the swamp...

We went to a tepanyaki type restaurant...lots of fun :)
We forced Taylor to try some shrimp...
Zacky had to try a bite too, and I actually thought he was going to force puke!
Daddy helped Taylor make shell necklaces :)

The kids LOVED their room...they had their own flat screen tv! They thought it was heaven! And they got new build a bears too :)
We helped Rita decorate her boat...
the kids had fun swimming with daddy...
until he started pulling zacky's pants down??? So Zacky did the same thing back....not putting that picture in :)
They took Zacky to Buca's for his birthday dinner. Zacky loved when they sang to him :D

Then Pop Pop gave him his old laptop! (zacky had thrown a fit when Taylor got her birthday laptop....like he needs a laptop :) He was, of course, thrilled!
grandma and Taylor made zacky a surprise birthday cake for the final morning. He walked in a saw a peek of it, but then they hid it and tried to convince him that there was absolutely NO cake. He was freaking and could NOT find it! They hid it behind cereal boxes and somehow he couldn't see it!
On the last day, we set out to find sand dollars. Taylor was determined to find one, we didn't have much time. (we had missed the shuttle the day before) The walk up the beach turned up nothing. She was sad and I was thinking there were none for sure! On the way back Grandma found one, then later I found one, and then Taylor found the last one. She was so happy! What a successful morning! She now has them displayed in her room :) (Taylor also found a couple of great 'heart' shells for grandma's display case :)

We surprised Zacky in the morning with breakfast cake! He said "I KNEW there was a cake!!!" We giggled!

The girls showed Zacky where the cake had been hidden :)
What a FUN trip!
On the way home, we passed Shipley's and came to a screeching halt! They were old and yuck, but another fun memory! I don't know how we ate them because we were still stuffed to the rafters with Blue Bell ice cream (I literally had a tear in my eye when we spotted it in Publix!)
On the ride home, Zacky solved the cube by himself! He was SO excited. He then solved it at the Primary talent show (while Debbie and I played the Can Can) and at school for show and tell! I'm still AMAZED he can do it!
