Another fun week :)

So mom's birthday week continued....we went to China Lily for lunch...and gave Kara a hard time about her massage outfit (she came over straight from school). Listened to Becca's hilarious crazy mom stories from Natalie's wedding, laughed about everything and stayed for 2 1/2 hours! Fun afternoon.
Our weeks are now jammed packed with baseball. Diamondbacks during the week and superleague double headers every Saturday. Here he played catcher for a bit during minor league game. He still loves it. He had a great hit to center this game too:) We have been having PERFECT weather this week, so the games are great to be at! Taylor spends the time giving me all the reasons she needs to stay home during the games!
Poor Taylor caught Kara's nasty cold this week and was down hard! She slept for 17 straight hours on Sunday! And of course this was the biggest week in soccer. shocker. She had 3 games and one of the games it rained and hailed the entire 1 1/2 hours! I'm such a bad mom...she stayed home from school for 3 days but insisted she HAD to go soccer. She hates missing...feels guilty! She was miserable but made a billion assists. The last game we played the other Deerfield team that has never beaten us. After a long week, our team looked sad and we lost :( rough day, but they pledged to beat them in tournament next week :) Taylor gave her first talk in sacrament meeting this week! she wrote the entire thing herself and did a great job! I was very impressed. She talked about using uplifting language and talked about a girl in one of her soccer games that was very complimentary even when goals were scored against them. We talked after about how impressive she was and how much more important it is to be a good person than to be the winner. So she shared that story in her talk. It was cute. (we were almost late to her talk because when I started drying her hair, I realized she hadn't washed the conditioner out! crazy morning! and we had had a family avatar night till the wee hours so we were all half asleep!) I'm so proud of that girl :)
We went to Los Hermanos after the double header (Saturdays include 2 games, lunch at OG with everyone and then dinner after with everyone...weekend gorge fest. my stomach is wiped out!) We had to wait forever and so the boys made their own fun with the rose bush thorns)

He plays 2nd most of the time now, although there has been quite the baseball drama with this team. Melisa and football have been the topper, but it has spilled into baseball with Rich. And the fact that they made this team 13 now has made it bad. Bryan finally lost it on Ralph this week after Bronson stayed in the whole game and our boys sat most of the last game. It's getting ridiculous- constant drama lately!

Funny story of week: Zacky caught a little bit of Taylor's cold and stayed home from school for 2 days. Really sore throat was the biggest problem with Taylor so, thanks to Kelly :), we've discovered the root beer remedy :). So Zacky comes down saying his throat hurt and then says very casually..."mom, is there anything you can think of that would help my throat?" I just looked at him and said why don't you just ask directly ;) so then he says with a funny smile, "can I have rootbeer?" Such a funny kid! good thing he's so cute!
