muddy baseball weekend

Memorial Day Tournament ended up being rainy, rainy, rainy! It was so muddy and miserable, but Zacky had fun getting all dirty!

He wanted to slide into home after the game :) We headed to Chilis after for some much needed food after a very long, cold night!
Zacky did great and got lots of hits!

We had a fun weekend with Daddy...new baseball video game, date night at La Jolla (yum!) trying to sort out all our crazy family stuff!, Pizzeria 712, basketball in church gym, yard work like crazy (finally done!), and family train game night and treats :)

mop mop & pop pop came to visit :)

Mop Mop and Pop Pop came to watch games....but after more yucky weather, only got to see one of Taylor's State Cup games (not the greatest game to watch ;) Zacky's baseball games got cancelled so we made other fun....Taylor got jeans, Zacky got batting gloves, Olive Garden, I got new shoes ;), Zacky hit 2 home runs at the field with Seth and Alec, Trafalga, waiting in line forever for white trash race cars, Basketball games, Pop Pop's old uniform, Orange Leaf (twice :).....

Taylor took us to Orange Leaf and it was a hit with Pop Pop!
We went to Trafalga and Taylor showed off her grace and style at the miniture golf course ;)
....why again, on a sunny day, are his games cancelled!!??

Zacky wanted to take Pop Pop to In and Out
Taylor spent alot of time on Make a Deal
and after a billion tickets, Zacky came out with handcuffs ;p
Wings and Basketball...zacky's favorite!
Sunday Nachos..Tv time for Pop Pop and Zacky, and I got out of organ! :)

Zacky loved the uniform. He's been talking about our team getting old school uniforms ever since he put this on ;)
She just keeps growing!....

Male bonding time....

State cup and laser face

iSteph talked me into a laser demo for my melasma. I spent the week trying to hide from people as to not scare them and then on Saturday for Taylor's state cup, I saw and scared 100's of people cause the dumb field and parking was so crazy. Lucky for me I have no vanity, but I do feel bad for those poor kids ;) And it got me out of BYC this week ;) Tiff said, I'm not gonna lie. That's weird :)
We lost the first game 4-1. We made some critical defense errors but overall they did great. Tough club team and we held our own considering we are still carrying neighbors that Darren won't kick off :) We got our goal off of Taylor's corner. She was great! We started the day in sun and then ended the day walking a mile back to our car in rain and lighting! The weather this year has been psycho!
Taylor is happy because after a long talk with Darren, it sounds like we'll stay with this team through high school. Now Taylor just has to decide what high school she'll go to...most of her friends will go to Lone Peak and she is starting to fret about the choice because Brit will be at AF :)
Dan got a shock collar for Bentley and of course the boys had to shock each other. Zacky shocked his bum and his neck. Then he said he had a head ache. My sympathy runneth over ;)

Daddy came home to coach the Strike's first season win. Happy day! We had a fun weekend with fifa soccer extravaganza's (bryan got an xbox for florida so now they can all play together!), Taylor kicking Daddy's booty at Fifa, lecture (me then Bry) time with Taylor about her confidence issues :), sunday evening at Kara's 'new' house (Natalie was ticked we all went over and 'kicked' them out ;), kids skipping school on monday to play with daddy, taylor and daddy date to Roxberry and shopping, lots of cookies, me and bry modern family date nights, milkshake night at mom's (drama time!) and lots of bonding time. Fun, crazy weekend.
*cute moment of the week...Zacky teacher, Mr. Wells, today in class during his 'special share day' told the class that he hope his 2 year old son grows up to be like Zack. He said Zack is an "ordinary boy who is extraordinary". Whata special comment. We know it, but it's cool to see that others see it too :)

Mother's Day

A few days after Mother's Day, Zacky flipped the go cart. Poor Hudson was in it with him. Zacky actually fell out when it rolled! We had a big ol talk and now he's alittle scared of it which I think is great! Daddy was flipping!
Daddy sent 12 dozen flowers! They were gorgeous :) He also got me new pool chairs. Happy Mother's Day to me :)

He ended up with some nasty cuts and bruises! I'm so glad it has roll bars!
Bryan made his famous 'Mother's Day' salad for me since he wasn't going to be home for actual Mother's Day. It was a gorgeous evening and the kids helped get everything ready for a yummy dinner on the patio. Then we played the train game and Taylor kicked our butts! Such a fun day together :)
Bryan and I played keep away from the kids...this is how it ended :)
We took Mom to China Lily for Mother's Day lunch after our scrapbook morning. I bashed the chocolate cake into the clear protector. Kara enjoyed it ;)
The kids quietly made Mother's Day breakfast for me while I slept in...waffles, eggs and toast and fruit salad. They even had the whole kitchen cleaned up too! On their own they bought me earrings, a heart necklace and candy. I have the best kids! Really!
The cute cards they made for me. I'm so lucky! :)
Bryan sent flowers and ordered me new lounge chairs. I'm so excited! We had dinner with mom and grandma Beebe and then had everyone over for games and dessert. Fun night

Taylor's soccer game in Logan

we drove 2 hours up to Logan for Taylor's 4th season game. We won 1-0 with Taylor's goal! She placed it beautifully in the top corner. It was a tough game but they were excited to win! After we (1st got lost) ate with the team at Junipers. The girls love each other and have fun getting to hang out! Taylor slept the entire way home in the car. We missed Zacky's last Slugfest tournament game. The poor Strike team can't seem to win a game and Tommy is ready to pull his hair out :) So wish Bryan was here to help! They play so much better for him. Zacky walked and had a great line drive to the outfield, so he was happy!

baseball week....

Taylor and I watched Zackys majors game from the car because it is freezing and windy! (and did her homework) Baseball season is in full force and every evening is packed with games or practices!
Taylor with her butt kicking trainer, Emil. We love him! She did great in her last game. She got 2 or the teams 3 goals to win 3-2. She is playing great and still loving this game!!!
Double header Saturday and rescheduled slugfest tourny games. We had 8 games this week! Crazy! Our team struggled at the tourny games and the parents struggled in the snow!!! SOOOOO cold! We got our butts whooped and looked terrible.....

Then Daddy made it back for the Saturday double header games (SO happy to have him home!!!) and things got MUCH better. Even though I get on his case for being a donkey coach, he really does a great job motivating the kids and making it fun and successful....he had a big talk with the kids about changing their habits and wanting to hit and threw in a $300 (for team jackets) incentive. They went crazy! They played great and should have won both games, but due to 1 inning in each game where we had some errors and pitching trouble, we lost. But it was a fun day! Taylor's game got snowed out, so she was sad (mostly because she had to sit at games all day :) She cheered for Zacky and got him treats and hugs (we had a good 'service week'...they've been struggling with being kind to each other, so we made some service goals each day and they were great! They thought of great things to do for each other (chores, kind letters, compliments) and really made me smile...and most of the time without me even reminding them! They are the best kids! I tell them all the time, that even though my luck in lines on earth is not so great (grocery store lines, traffic lights, etc), I must have stood in the right line in the pre-existence cause I got the best kids! So I'll deal with my bad luck here :)
