soccer, tennis and conference weekend...

Taylor, much to my surprise, tried out for student council. She chose to run for Vice Pres because Brittany said she wanted to run for President :) cute friends. So she was chosen in the top 12 after submitting a paragraph to Miss Kitchen along with 9 million other 6th graders. The top 12 were put up for a vote to narrow it to the top 3 that got to run and do a skit for the school. She didn't make it and was VERY upset. Brittany didn't either. I was so surprised how much she wanted it. Chandler Winter made one of the president nominees and asked her to be in his skit (I was proud of her for getting up there and doing it!) . Here she is holding a sign (I asked Zacky to take a picture for me and this is all I got :) He asked her to help him because she is popular. She told me she wasn't and so I had to have a big old 'popular' talk with her. She's so tough on herself. It didn't help that mean Talmage made Vice. I was just sad because I had my whole "banana" skit set up for her :)
I finally found the big soft tennis balls that we used at Sandra's ladies night summer tennis....the kids are GREAT with them (and now I can actually compete against Bryan :) They are so fun and the kids want me to sit while they play "real games"...which they can actually do! They have better games than the adults sometimes! If we could just do something about the fighting and competitiveness!
Their strokes are actually great!
The kids have been begging for spaghetti tacos like they have on i-carly...so we finally made them :) They were happy!
The Northern Peaks (still miss our pink uniforms!!!) played their toughest game on saturday against Salem. We were tied for first but they'd only had 1 goal scored against them all season....it was the dirtiest, most heated game yet. They should have gotten at least one red card, but didn't...Bailey got taken out. So did Taylor (hurt her elbow, of course) and Ellie. I'm usually yelling at Bryan to stop yelling, but this game I even yelled (they actually teach their girls foul and cheap shot) . It was ridiculous. But we won 4-1. Taylor made a free shot (she also got to shoot when Bailey got pushed from behind...missed it..straight to the goalie...it's our teams problem :) and assisted 2 goals (one was a corner). Crazy game! SOOO happy we beat that yucky team.
Zacky played catch with Daddy and missed one ball that hit him in the mouth :( He was bleeding, but played big time tough guy...so funny :)
Here's Taylor's free kick.

Evon came in to with the girls for haircuts...it was a long evening of Krista debating whether to go for a mohawk...she's crazy. I tried to copy a top model cut for a little more feminity...it was quite the process (she donated to locks of love again) but after I put some makeup and earrings on her, she actually looked pretty cool :) After the girls went out for JCWs :)
Everyone came over for conference. Bryan made a yummy breakfast and I made some cookies and forgot the flour?
Zacky played aluminum foil baseball during the break :)
:)

I picked Bryan up and we went to see Love Happens and ate at our favorite cheesesteak place while the kids played at the Earls....we had such a fun night! The kids played lots of video games and had a fun weekend with Daddy :) Kimberly and Devin got a house in Cedar Hills. We're so excited. We went to OG to celebrate :) We've been doing a LOT of house hunting and are happy we found one! Pool got closed :( it's cold now! so sad that winter is coming!
