tTaylor's favorite time of year....hot chocolate and movie time! The elf picked this several times ;)
The elf barely had the ordered ornament here in time for Dec 1. Zacky saw one of these at the mall in Gainesville...he loved it :) Definitely represents the year! (This year was funny because I knew they didn't believe the elf was real anymore...we openly discussed our plans for the elf-each choosing 8 things we loved...still weird that they are so big and don't believe in Santa :(..the final straw was Zacky's teacher, Miss Hamilton, telling them he wasn't ;) sad. Elf was a little different, but still fun this year. I just kept teasing Zacky about not believing :)
After we flew home on real Thanksgiving and spent the weekend at the St George soccer tourny, we had another fake Thanksgiving with everyone at home. This was the kids 'table'. Much simpler to clean ;)
The second I brought Santa out, Oreo ran over and took her Christmas spot :)
I love that it's Christmas time...it means Zacky wears his Santa hat constantly, even to bed :)
Time to decorate the tree! Without Bryan here, the kids had to haul individual branches up because there was no way we could carry the box up from the basement. We got it up and then after stringing the bottom part, I realized that several strands didn't. After finding no stinking white lights at the store, the kids picked blue. This was the final...Taylor called it her Northern Peaks tree since it had her colors :)
The elf brought Taylor a soccer ornament since that's what this year was all about for her...making Premier!
