we got SNOW!

we went to the Tetro's gingerbread party...Zacky put 101 cranberries on his roof!
grandma drexie sent a moose pooper and a penguin egg layer! What a cool grandma :)
zacky's lovin the snow...it just keeps coming! I was making dinner and could hear a banging sound...it was zacky throwing snowballs at the window!
on the way to pay for another oreo for Taylor's christmas present, (yes, I'm a sucker!) I found the most perfect sledding hill in Highland. We lost the golf course hill, so I was so happy to find this one!
The kids loved it!

the Deerfield Christmas sing...The kids did great...zacky totally hammed it up this year (which is unusual for him)...and I guess during practices he would glance back at Lauren when they sang "walking with your sweet heart" :)
We went back to our hill for Noelle's birthday and this time Derek brought his skate jump (the first time we went, there were some teenage boys that built a jump out of a costco table! Zacky and Derek just watched them jump most of the time :) So this time they jumped and one of the boys actually came over to Zacky and gave him some jumping tips. Later I thanked him and he told me "he's going to be REALLY good, I can't believe he's only 8!) The hill is pretty steep and they were jumping pretty high! He had some good crashes and woke up with a sore neck!
We told Noelle that she got the best gift ever....snow! It snowed all morning and then was beautiful that evening!
Taylor uses my board now! She loves it, but is much more cautious than Zacky! smart girl!
Zacky was out of control!
Even when he crashed, he'd just get right back up and tromp back up the hill! He asked me if there were any jumping competitions he could enter :)

Zacky and Alec built a snow cave...it was absolutely FREEZING this day!

On Saturday, the kids wanted to take daddy to the hill.....I parked the car, and within seconds, Zacky grabbed his board and took off! Taylor spends 15 minutes in the car putting on all of her stuff!
When we got there, the costco table was open, so they all tried it (even Ryan sledded over it!) Here's Jeff...
Poor Ryan, at the very end of the day, got slashed with the edge of Derek's board and ended up with 6 stitches on his chin :(
This jump is much steeper....I couldn't believe the boys were doing it (and when you land, it's still steep!) Zacky sat and pondered going down for a bit, but once he started (and no matter how many times he crashed, and hard!, he just kept going!)

Taylor finally tried it too today! She landed it!
While zacky and alec built the snow fort, alec accidently wacked Zacky in the eye with his shovel. It split open and the next day he was a bit swollen and had some black and blueness. When he saw his eye, he said "cool!!!" He's excited about having a 'war' scar! funny kid :)
